By employing the extremely high frequency range of 5.8 GHz, Panasonic's cordless phones assure higher conversation security and sound clarity. The 5.8 GHz digital technology operates on a different wavelength with much less traffic than 2.4 GHz technology; and, you still get great security and incredible clarity. Up to 8 handsets can be added as an option to the standard base unit.
